They are available for $700/€525 and $505/€380, respectively
Nokia India officially introduced the Lumia 920 and 820 a few days ago and confirmed that the smartphones would be available on the market this week.True to its promise, the Finnish company announced today that both Windows Phone 8 devices are now up for purchase at major retail stores across the country.
As expected, customers can now grab the Lumia 920 via Flipkart for Rs 38,199 ($700/€525) outright, whereas the Lumia 820 is priced at only Rs 27,559 ($505/€380).
Those who purchase one of the two smartphones from Flipkart will also receive Zero Processing Fee on EMIs: 3, 6, 9 months.
However, this deal is only available until January 18, so those who wish to take advantage of this offer should hurry up.
Although both devices are almost similar when it comes to hardware, the Lumia 920 stands out thanks to its superior build, camera and display.
One of the best-selling smartphones available on the market, the Lumia 920 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
The same goes for Nokia Lumia 820, which comes with the same specs. However, the Lumia 920 embeds 32GB of internal memory, while the Lumia 820 packs only 8GB of storage. The good news is the latter also features microSD card for memory expansion (up to 64GB).
Another strong point of the Lumia 920 is the stunning 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display that supports 768 x 1280 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. The Lumia 820 sports a slightly smaller 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
Last but not least, Nokia Lumia 920 boasts an 8.7-megapixel rear camera featuring one of the best imaging technologies, PureView.
The Lumia 820 comes with a more than decent 8-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
