With only one day left until the official release of Windows Phone 8 platform, the hype around Nokia’s new Lumia devices seems to be at its peak.

One of the hottest Windows Phone 8 devices expected to arrive on the market in early November, Nokia Lumia 920 has been up for pre-order at several authorized retailers, but stocks depleted pretty fast.

US-based retailer Best Buy quietly kicked off pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X last week, though the former has been quickly pulled from its online store.

It’s possible that due to overwhelming amount of pre-orders received in the first few hours since the Lumia 920 was listed online forced Best Buy to remove it.

However, it looks like Best Buy does not want to totally disappoint its customers and made it possible for all to continue to pre-order the Nokia Lumia 920 at its brick and mortar stores.

The information has been recently confirmed by a Best Buy official who was answering a question regarding the availability of the Lumia 920 on the company’s online store.

Douglas-BBY, Community Connector, said that “the Lumia 920 is not currently available for pre-order through our website, but is available at your local Best Buy store. Stop in to chat with our mobile team for more information.”

Unfortunately, there are no details on whether or not those who already pre-ordered the Nokia Lumia 920 online, before Best Buy could pull it, will receive their pre-purchased devices.

Nokia Lumia 920 is the most powerful Windows Phone 8 device expected to launch this year. The smartphone comes with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, as well as an Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

The handset comes with full LTE supports, as well as HSPA+ (42Mbps), HSUPA, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth 3.1 and GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS.
