Today, wireless carrier AT&T officially confirmed the upcoming availability of Nokia’s Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia 920 smartphone on its airwaves.

The handset is expected to arrive on shelves at the carrier in November, yet no official date has been provided – although rumor has it that November 4th could be the lucky day.

The smartphone comes with all the features and capabilities that Nokia has already announced for the international version, while also adding some extra flavor into the mix.

By that, we mean a new color version, Cyan, which was rumored before to join the previously made official yellow, red, white and black color options.

“Exclusive to our customers and featuring unique innovations in imaging technology, wireless charging and a bright, sensitive display – all on the nation’s largest 4G network – the Lumia 920 will be one of the hottest phones for the holidays,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president – Devices and Developer Services, AT&T Mobility.

Packing a large 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ touchscreen display that can deliver a great viewing experience while on the go, as well as a powerful Snapdragon S4 dual-core application processor inside, Lumia 920 is expected to prove one of the most popular devices on the carrier’s offering very soon.

It also comes with support for the carrier’s 4G LTE network, as well as with an 8-megapixel PureView photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution.

“The Nokia Lumia 920 brings a lot to the table, starting with our amazing PureView imaging technology and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for clear photos, even when your hands aren’t steady when taking the picture,” Nokia notes.

“Also, the PureView camera on the Lumia 920 lets in an amazing amount of light, allowing it to take bright and clear photos in low-light indoor conditions.”

The phone sports a front camera for making video calls, as well as the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and the whole range of smartphone sensors.

It also comes with wireless charging technology, enabling users to charge their devices even in restaurants and coffee shops, courtesy of partnerships Nokia has signed with various brands.

“Nokia City Lens, the latest addition to Nokia’s suite of location apps, brings augmented reality to your Lumia 920. With Nokia City Lens you can use your smartphone to see inside the world around you and locate local facilities with ease,” Nokia explains.
