Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers appears set to become the very first wireless services provider in the world to make the new Lumia 920 smartphone available for purchase on its network.

Following Microsoft’s unveiling of the Windows Phone 8 platform, the company went official with its intent to put the new device up for sale as soon as tomorrow.

The smartphone will be available through select stores with a price tag of $99.99 with the signing of a three-year contract agreement, and at $549.99 on a month-to-month plan.

The carrier also announced that the phone will be available only in black in the beginning. It should reach more of the company’s stores in the coming days, Rogers’ Chief Marketing Officer, John Boynton, said, MobileSyrup reports.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when Windows Phone 8X by HTC and Samsung ATIV S will become available has been provided.
