Rumors about the upcoming Nokia Lumia 900, the Finnish company’s next flagship smartphone, have come and gone, but nothing is certain yet.

According to the latest hearsay, Nokia is expected to launch the Lumia 900 next month at CES 2012, possibly along with other Windows Phone devices.

Well, it appears that the DGui blog has gotten some inside information from a person close to the matter, which confirms some of these rumors.

Basically, Nokia Lumia 900 will surely be announced at CES 2012 next month. However, the insider mentions another Windows Phone device that will be launched alongside Lumia 900, namely the Nokia Lumia 719.

Both smartphones are supposed to run Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone Tango operating system, which will be announced at CES 2012 as well.

The folks at DGui also claim that the insider confirmed Microsoft’s plans to deploy the Windows Phone Tango update to “some existing devices” in the next months after its official launch at CES 2012.

Windows Phone Tango adds support for smaller displays and chassis, and, more importantly, brings LTE support to Windows Phone smartphones.

In the same news, rumor has it that Microsoft will launch Windows Phone Apollo, also known as Windows Phone 8, in mid-June 2012.

Obviously, it’s too early for an exact release date, but the info is in line with rumors concerning a Nokia Windows 8 tablet that should be announced in the second half of 2012.

In this regard, the insider mentions that the Windows 8 tablet manufactured by Nokia will be launched at Nokia Connection 2012, along with other top tier devices, including the Nokia 803, the company’s next camera flagship smartphone.

Some of the features offered by Windows Phone Apollo might include support for dual-core processors and NFC (Near Field Communications) technology, as well as larger displays.
