Mobile phone users in the UK interested in grabbing a Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone without committing to a contract agreement can do so while paying only £445.98 ($700 / €556) for it.

The handset is available with this price tag attached to it via online retailer Unlocked Mobiles, and it is listed as in stock now.

Other third-party retailers show the handset as available for purchase now as well, including Clove UK, which lists it for £468, VAT included ($734 / €585).

Unfortunately, only the Black flavor of the device has been put up for sale for the time being, while the Cyan version is expected to arrive on shelves on June 5th, Clove notes.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5, the Nokia Lumia 900 was made official back in January as Finnish mobile phone maker’s new flagship device.

The handset was initially launched in the United States with support for LTE connectivity, but it arrived in other markets around the world soon after, without the 4G capabilities inside.

The phone hits the market with a 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Lumia 900 is powered by a 1.4GHz single-core application processor and sports 512 MB of RAM, while packing 16GB of internal memory, without the option to expand it via a microSD memory card slot.

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for HD video recording, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

Other specs of Nokia’s Windows Phone include an 1830mAh battery capable of offering up to 7h of talk time or up to 300h of standby time, WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, MicroUSB, 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM and 850/900/1900/2100 MHz HSPA bands.

The handset also features support for a wide range of applications available for download via the Windows Phone Marketplace, including a set of exclusive apps coming from Nokia.
