No word on release date yet, but it will be much cheaper on contract

The Lumia 900 is Nokia’s Windows Phone flagship device. Even though the smartphone was unveiled in October, the Finnish company has yet to introduce the Lumia 900 on the market.

AT&T and Nokia already confirmed the Lumia 900 would be available through the former’s store locations and online from March.

Other carriers in North America will also offer the Lumia 900, as Nokia is trying to expand the availability of its Windows Phone devices in other regions as well.

Rumor has it that the majority of Canadian carriers will offer the Lumia 900 within the following month, though this has yet to be officially confirmed.

Currently, Nokia sells its Lumia 710 via Rogers, and the Lumia 800 through TELUS. However, Nokia Lumia 900 might be launched in Canada by Rogers, rumors claim.

The folks over at WPCentral got their hands on a Rogers internal document that confirmed Rogers would offer the Nokia Lumia 900 for $499.99 outright.

Obviously, the price will be much lower for customers who are willing to commit to a new long-term contract, though no details are available for the moment.

It looks like a picture of Rogers’ inventory screen has just leaked in the wild and confirms that the Lumia 900’s price is discountable. Unfortunately, the document does not contain a release date for the Nokia Lumia 900.

However, we can safely assume that the Lumia 900 will be launched in Canada soon after it makes its debut in the United States via AT&T.

In the same news, Nokia announced earlier last week that the Lumia 900 would be available globally with a slightly different specs sheet.

The global version of Lumia 900 will be shipped without LTE support, while the North America variant will be fully compatible with 4G technology, which makes it the perfect choice for carriers that already own an LTE network.
