Verizon Wireless announced in late October that it would launch the Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X at some point this month. The carrier also unveiled the 2-year term pricing options for both Windows Phone 8 devices and said that more details would be available closer to launch.

Yesterday, the Big Red made a brief update on the previous announcement and confirmed pre-orders for Lumia 822 and 8X would start on November 9.

Well, it looks like the pre-order pages for both smartphones are now live, so customers can start to pre-purchase any of the two handsets.

In this regard, Verizon is offering the Nokia Lumia 822 for $100/€80 with a new two-year agreement and after a $50/€40 mail-in rebate, while the HTC 8X is up for pre-order for $200/€155 on a 2-year contract and after a $50/€40 mail-in rebate.

Customers who do not wish to commit to a long-term contract can grab the HTC Windows Phone 8X for $550/€430 and the Nokia Lumia 822 for $450/€350 outright.

Verizon currently offers the HTC 8X in blue, red and black and the Nokia Lumia 822 in white, black and silver color options.

Although the carrier mentions that both smartphones will ship by November 13, the red-themed HTC 8X was confirmed to ship by November 21.

Unfortunately, Verizon’s outright offer for Lumia 822 is inferior to AT&T’s deal on Lumia 920. The best Windows Phone handset available on the market, Nokia Lumia 920 will go on sale via AT&T for $450/€350 outright.

Basically, AT&T has the Lumia 920 similar to Verizon’s Lumia 822, though the former offers much better features.

In other news, AT&T has also assured us the HTC 8X will hit shelves later today for $100/€80. This is the price for the 16GB, whereas the 8GB model is likely to go on sale for $50/€40 cheaper.
