We reported a few days ago that UK-based carrier Three offered free Windows 8 Pro upgrades to each customer that buys the HTC 8X, but it looks like this is not the only company offering such a deal.

Major retailer Carphone Warehouse has recently announced that each customer purchasing the Nokia Lumia 820 will receive a free Windows 8 Pro upgrade for one PC. This deal is available to all customers that buy the Lumia 820 until December 31.

In addition, the authorized seller offers a free wireless charging plate to each Nokia Lumia 820 buyer. Keep in mind that this deal is only available until November 15, so you might want to hurry up.

Nokia Lumia 820 is available at Carphone Warehouse for free from £26/€32/$41 per month. In addition, Windows Phone enthusiasts can grab the Lumia 820 for £380/€475/$605 SIM free. Check it out here.

While not the most advanced Windows Phone launched by Nokia, Lumia 820 may be one of the best WP8-based smartphones available on the market.

Equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor, the Lumia 820 is second to none when it comes to hardware.

The smartphone is packed with an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Another strong point of the Lumia 820 is the enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, dual LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There’s also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls, along with LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth 3.1.

It is also worth mentioning that Nokia Lumia 820 boasts a stunning 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The screen is based on the company’s ClearBlack technology.
