Nokia’s first Windows Phone, the Lumia 800

, has seen a warm welcome from mobile phone users in France, and it seems that they are still in love with it.

Some of the latest reports on the matter show that the mobile phone’s usage among end-users in the country has increased significantly during the past few weeks, and it does not show signs of slowing down.

The info comes from the France traffic app on Windows Phone, and confirms that the device has all that it takes to be successful.

The graph provided by Arnaud Michelet, the developer behind the application, shows that Nokia’s device managed to pass all other Windows Phones in usage.

Samsung’s Omnia 7 was the leader in usage on Windows Phone, but Lumia 800 got in front, and it appears to be gaining even more ground.

This shows that Nokia’s hard push for Lumia smartphones on the European market is panning out, and that the device might actually be as successful as Nokia intended it to be, although early reports suggested that it won’t.

Of course, nothing is yet official, and the graph does no show how well the handset performs on the market when compared to other high-end, highly popular devices out there, although Nokia said last month that they were very pleased with initial take up of the device in the UK.

Lumia 800 is available only in a small number of markets around the world, but should be launched in more of them soon.

Today, the smartphone went available in Singapore, where people formed a line to purchase it since early in the morning, showing great hype for its arrival. Nokia hasn’t released official numbers as of yet.

Next year, Nokia is expected to make the handset available for purchase in more countries around the world, and should make more Windows Phone devices available as well.
