The so-called “selfie” smartphone that Microsoft is planning for Q3 2014 has just leaked online, along with some info on its specs sheet.

Also known as Nokia Lumia 730, the device is expected to be released on the market in the next few months, along with another mid-range Windows Phone, the Lumia 830.

Both handsets are reported to arrive this autumn, but no info on when exactly they will be available has emerged yet. However, it looks like details on these Windows Phones have already started to flood the Internet, which can only mean one thing, that they are about to go official soon.

The Lumia 730 that has just leaked online via WPCentral shows both the front and back sides, along with a brand new, unheard of firmware. It looks like the Lumia 720 successor will also come with a new firmware, which is called “Lumia Debian Red.”

According to the cited source, Nokia Lumia 730 should pack an impressive 5-megapixel camera on the front, which is meant to take that perfect selfie that all Windows Phone users have been waiting for.

The smartphone that’s internally known as Nokia Superman is said to sport a decent enough 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display. There’s no info on the camera on the back, but as we can see from the pictures, it features a small LED flash.

The bright green color of the device suggests that the Lumia 730 will be available in multiple color options, just like the latest Windows Phone 8.1 handsets launched by Microsoft in the last couple of months.

We can’t say for sure whether or not the back cover of the smartphone will be exchangeable or if the battery is removable, but from what we can notice in these pictures, this won’t be the case.

Design-wise, the Lumia 730 definitely seems bigger than its predecessor, the Lumia 720. It also features slightly more rounded corners, but overall it’s the same rectangular form factor that makes all Nokia Windows Phones recognizable from a mile away.

Unfortunately, not much else is known about the phone’s specs, but as we’re getting near launch more info is likely to leak, so we’ll definitely keep an eye out for more updates on this one.

Last but not least, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Nokia Lumia 730 will run a completely new firmware. The fact that’s it’s called Lumia Debian Red is quite curious, given that Debian is already a trademarked name. Hopefully, Microsoft won’t have any issues on the matter.
