The Lumia 520 is one of the best-selling smartphones in India these days and some retailers have already depleted their initial stock.

However, the situation will probably change in the coming days as Nokia plans to launch another affordable Windows Phone 8 handset in India, the Lumia 720.

This will probably take the heat off the Lumia 520 sales, as Nokia and Windows Phone fans will turn their attention to the new Lumia 720.

For the time being, several authorized resellers in the country take pre-orders for the Lumia 720 and state the smartphone will be available for purchase beginning late April.

Although we don’t have an exact release date for Lumia 720, at least we can add another name on the list of Indian retailers that will offer the smartphone, Infibeam.

Infibeam has just announced it has kicked off pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 720, so customers who want to make sure they will be among the first to receive the device can now pre-purchase it for Rs 18,999 ($350/€265) outright.

According to Infibeam’s listing, only the white and black color versions are now available for pre-order, but additional colors may be introduced later on. Check it out here.

As a refresher, Nokia Lumia 720 comes equipped with a more than decent 4.3-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that features ClearBlack technology and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

In addition, the smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Another strong point of the phone is the impressive 6.7-inch photo snapper on the back, which features Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording. A secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera is included as well.
