We reported last week at least one Indian retailer plans to start offering the Nokia Lumia 720 within the next few days.

However, soon after the information was published Flipkart removed the smartphone from their website.

The good news is that the retailer now has the Lumia 720 up for pre-order, so Windows Phone fans can now pre-purchase their favorite smartphone.

It’s unclear why Flipkart decided to remove the handset from their site jut to put it back one day later, but we noticed the price has been changed.

The first time we spotted the Lumia 720 at Flipkart, the phone was priced at Rs 18,500 outright, which is about $340 or €260. Now, customers who wish to purchase the device will have to come up with Rs 18,990 ($350/€265) upfront. Check it out here.

Even though the difference is not by much, it might be one of the reasons Flipkart decided to pull it from their site in the first place.

For those who did not read our previous article, Flipkart also offers a free 16GB microSD memory card to each customer that purchases the Lumia 720.

That will come in handy given the fact that the smartphone only packs 8GB of internal memory. Aside from that, Lumia 720 comes equipped with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Another strong point of the phone is the 6.7-megapixel rear photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Nokia Lumia 720 sports a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

Last but not least, the device is powered by a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 520 hours of standby time or up to 23 hours of talk time (13 hours in 3G mode).
