Only a few days after being spotted at the Federal Communication Commission, the Nokia Lumia 710 is rumored to be set for launch at wireless carrier T-Mobile sometime in January next year.

The handset has passed through the FCC approval process with support for T-Mobile's AWS bands, which suggested that the wireless carrier might be receiving it at some point in the future.

According to the guys over at TmoNews, that will most probably happen in January 2012, at least this is what their sources familiar with the matter stated.

Moreover, they learned that the smartphone is called Sword internally at T-Mobile, and that it will be released in two color flavors, namely Black and White (the exchangeable back covers might also be included into the mix).

When announcing the new device, Nokia said that it will be launched in only a handful of markets this year, and that it will arrive in more of them during the next year, with the United States set to receive it in the second wave.

However, the Finnish mobile phone maker did not announce specific info on the wireless carriers who will get the smartphone, and its landing at T-Mobile, although almost confirmed, is only rumored for the time being.

The specs list of this device are appealing enough for all budget conscious users out there, and the new Windows Phone Mango operating system seems very appealing as well.

The handset arrives on shelves with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a WVGA 800×480 pixel resolution, while being powered by a 1.4GHz application processor.

The mobile phone also arrives on shelves with 512MB of RAM and with 8GB of internal storage, and packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with video recording capabilities, and a front facing camera for video calling. The handset includes a 1300mAh battery inside.
