The second Nokia Windows Phone landed in Taiwan today

Today, Nokia announced that Nokia Lumia 710, its second Windows Phone device, started to arrive on shelves around the world.

Nokia Lumia 710 is being pushed to the market less than a month after the company’s first handset powered by Microsoft’s platform was released, namely the Nokia Lumia 800.

The new device started selling in Taiwan today, while being set to hit stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Russia before the end of the next week.

Moreover, Nokia says that the mobile phone will become available for purchase in various markets around the world in the coming weeks.

The smarphone was launched with an estimated retail price of 270 EUR (around $360), excluding taxes and subsidies. It is being released via operator partners, retailers and open channels.

“The colourful, affordable Nokia Lumia 710 was designed to make the Nokia Lumia experience accessible to more people around the world and at launch was widely praised as the best Windows Phone experience at is price point,” Nokia notes.

“It combines the powerful social and Internet experience of Windows Phone with the ability to take pictures in almost any conditions and share with friends in seconds, as well as access to thousands of the most popular apps, including exclusive Nokia services.”

The handset is powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system and offers support for various services developed for the OS, while being capable of keeping users connected with their online accounts at all times.

The Nokia Lumia 710 is capable of keeping users connected with their social lives, while also providing them with a great experience through Internet Explorer 9 and the Bing services.

Not to mention that it comes with Nokia Drive, the full-fledged personal navigation device (PND) from the company, and with the new Nokia Music service for enjoying great songs while on the go.

The Lumia 710 packs a 3.7" WVGA TFT, ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen display, along with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with 720p video recording capabilities.
