Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia made available for purchase in the UK its second smartphone running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system, namely the Nokia Lumia 710.

Nokia made the announcement on Twitter, linking to the phone’s page on its website.

The new device features capabilities similar to those packed inside the company’s first Windows phone, the Lumia 800, but sports lower hardware specifications.

The handset packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a single-core 1.4GHz application processor, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The smartphone has a lot to offer in terms of services and applications as well, with support for specific content coming from Nokia, such as Nokia Drive and Nokia Music. Additionally, it offers users the possibility to swap its back cover with new colored ones, for increased personalization.
