Mobile phone carrier Three UK is the first to confirm plans to add the Nokia Lumia 710 Windows Phone device to its offering.

The smartphone is expected to hit shelves in the country sometime in January and, while we do not have an official release date for it at Three UK, we can already see it on the wireless carrier’s website tagged ‘coming soon’.

Running under the new Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, the Nokia Lumia 710 smartphone was made official back in October, along with the Lumia 800, which is already available in the UK.

The new device features a 3.7-inch ClearBlack touchscreen display, complemented by a 1.4GHz application processor, and 8GB of internal memory.

Moreover, the new device features a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto-focus, LED flash and support for HD video recording. A front camera for video calling was also included in the phone’s design.

The Nokia Lumia 710 also offers great connectivity capabilities, including WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as great turn-by-turn sat nav with spoken directions with Nokia Drive.

Not to mention that it can deliver a great experience that is powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform.

“Discover the benefits of Windows Phone 7.5. Top social networks are preloaded and displayed in one place for fast, easy updates; you can work anywhere with Office 365; there are thousands of apps in Marketplace,” Three UK notes.

With Nokia Lumia 710, “you can get free sat nav with spoken directions with Nokia Drive; and you can access your favourite artists and latest releases with Nokia Music. All this plus a 3.7” anti-glare screen and 5 megapixel camera with flash and HD video recording.”

Those who would like to learn more on when the new device is set to make an official appearance on shelves at Three UK should head over to the carrier’s website to register their interest.
