Canadian mobile phone users who would like to grab a new Windows Phone handset from Nokia now have the possibility to purchase the Nokia Lumia 710 smartphone from Videotron.
The wireless carrier has been long touting the availability of this smartphone on its network and even put it on a coming soon page
recently. It is now offering it to its users for $299.95 contract-free (around €243).
Of course, users can also purchase the new device with the signing of a contract agreement with the wireless carrier, and they will have to pay only $29.95 for it on a three-year deal.
One of the first Nokia devices to arrive on shelves with Windows Phone on board, the Lumia 710 has a lot of great features to offer to those looking for an affordable device.
The handset will provide them with updates on their social lives straight on the homescreen, where it can also deliver news updates, weather info, and more, all courtesy of the Live Tiles that Microsoft designed its mobile platform with.
Moreover, the smartphone
comes with a 1.4GHz application processor inside, as well as with a 3.7-inch ClearBlack touchscreen display, and with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back. It also includes support for 4G networks.
“At last, a smartphone with multi-functional features that's super easy to use! With Nokia Drive and its pre-installed maps, you'll never get lost! In addition to itineraries, this handy app provides information on road conditions and nearby public transport—it even locates traffic cameras,” Videotron notes.
“The tiled home screen lets you glance at your contacts' updates without having to open any applications. What's more, all of these features are displayed on the razor-sharp ClearBlack anti-glare screen that will simply amaze you!”
Nokia Lumia 710 users will also have access to a variety of applications available for download through the Windows Phone Marketplace, to personalize and enhance their experience.
