In early April, Nokia unveiled to the world its first devices running under the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, and the Nokia Lumia 635, the LTE flavor of Lumia 630, was one of them.

As it turns out, the mobile phone is set to make an appearance in China soon, but it will sport a different name there, that is Nokia Lumia 636.

The handset has received the necessary certification from the Ministry of Industry Approval in China, with TD-LTE connectivity packed inside, Livesino reports.

As WMPoweruser notes, this is the very first TD-LTE-enabled smartphone from Nokia, and it also arrives on the market with single-SIM capabilities, and support for TD-SCDMA networks.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the TD-LTE connectivity is the LTE standard developed inside China, and being deployed by the largest carrier in the country, China Mobile.

Although Nokia Lumia 636 has received approvals in China, no specific info on when it might arrive there has been provided as of now, though it might not be too long before such details are revealed, so stay tuned to learn the news.

Then made available for purchase, the mobile phone should sport all of the features and capabilities that Nokia Lumia 625 was made official with.

These include a 4.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display capable of delivering a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, as well as a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, with Adreno 305 graphics.

Moreover, Nokia Lumia 636 should sport 512MB of RAM inside, along with 8GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot capable of accommodating memory cards of up to 128GB in size.

The smartphone was also unveiled with HSDPA, 42.2 Mbps and HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps connectivity, in addition to the aforementioned 4G LTE capabilities.

At the same time, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, as well as microUSB v2.0, DLNA, and Wi-Fi hotspot. A built-in GPS receiver is also available inside the device.

On the back, the phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, capable of recording videos in 720p resolution. However, no front camera was packed on the phone.

Running under the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, the handset should also come with all of the exclusive features and services that other Lumia phones out there were released with.

The Nokia Lumia 635 was announced with an 1830mAh battery (BL-5H) capable of offering up to 14 hours of talk time, or up to 648 hours of standby time. However, it remains to be seen whether the Lumia 636 will sport the same battery inside.
