Nokia Lumia 635, the LTE-enabled flavor of the Nokia Lumia 630, has made an appearance on Microsoft’s website on its way to the networks of wireless carriers AT&T and T-Mobile.

The mobile phone, made official in early April along with the Lumia 630 and Lumia 930, is the cheapest 4G-enabled handset to run under the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.

Apparently, Microsoft is planning on making the phone available for purchase in the United States on the networks of the aforementioned wireless carriers, and already listed it on its online store as available for pre-order.

While we can no longer find that listing, WPCentral notes that the handset was up for reservations at $99 (€73) for AT&T and at $129 (€95) for T-Mobile. None of the two offers required the signing of a contract agreement.

Should the mobile phone indeed arrive on the market at this price tag, it would be a very appealing device, that’s for sure, especially since it was released in Europe at a much higher cost.

To be more precise, Microsoft officially announced the handset’s availability in Asia and Europe at $189 (€139) before taxes and subsidies.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Nokia Lumia 635 was made official with a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering an 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

The mobile phone also arrives on shelves with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor inside, which is complemented by Adreno 305 graphics and 512MB of RAM, and which should be able to deliver quite decent performance capabilities at all times.

The mobile phone was also announced with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot capable of supporting cards of up to 128GB in size.

Nokia Lumia 635 is powered by an 1830mAh battery, while also arriving on shelves with the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors included, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, accelerometer, and the like.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel camera that should offer decent imaging capabilities, including support for 720p video recording.

Additionally, Lumia 635 offers all of the features and capabilities that the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system version was announced with, such as a Notification center, new personalization capabilities, and the Cortana digital assistant (which is already official in the US).

What remain to be seen is when exactly the new device will be released in the United States, and whether AT&T and T-Mobile will indeed have it on their networks at the aforementioned price tags.
