On Tuesday, mobile phone carrier AT&T has revealed plans to make the Nokia Lumia 635 smartphone available for its customers starting with July 25, with an initial price tag of $99.99 (€74) attached to it.

The handset will be offered as part of the company’s GoPhone prepaid service and will provide users with support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network.

Additionally, the wireless operator has confirmed that, starting with August 8, users will be able to purchase the handset both online and through its stores with black and orange back covers in the box, at $139.99 (€103).

“The device is available with AT&T Next 18 for as little as $5.84 [€4.31] per month or only $7 [€5.16] per month with Next 12,” the mobile phone carrier notes in a blog post.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Lumia 635 was made official in April this year as the 4G LTE-enabled flavor of Nokia Lumia 630 and that it comes with the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system loaded on top right from the start.

The handset features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 480 x 854 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with only 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, the new mobile phone arrives on shelves with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space.

In addition to the aforementioned 4G LTE, Nokia Lumia 635 also features support for 3G networks (HSDPA, 42.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Moreover, it includes DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, along with built-in GPS receiver with GLONASS, microUSB port, and Adreno 305 graphics.

The smartphone is powered by a Li-Ion 1830mAh battery that can deliver up to 14 hours of talk time or up to 648 hours of standby time.

“The Nokia Lumia 635 packs a 4.5-inch display with the all-new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and Cortana personal assistant in a pocket-friendly design for the smart consumer,” AT&T notes.

“Now you can have your very own personal assistant, Cortana, with the latest generation of Windows Phone 8.1 pre-loaded on the Nokia Lumia 635. Set reminders by time, location and people.”

AT&T has already published a landing page for the Nokia Lumia 635, and those of you interested in learning more on the device should head there for that.
