Nokia Lumia 630, the first budget smartphone to run under the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, is reportedly set to go up for sale in China on May 11.

During a press event in the country, Microsoft has officially confirmed that the device will be available for purchase tomorrow, with a price tag of 999 Yuan ($160/€115) attached to it, LiveSino.net reports.

Moreover, the company has revealed that the handset will be released through various retailers in the local market, and that wireless carrier China Unicom will also add it to its offering, with dual-SIM capabilities included.

Earlier this week, the smartphone went up for pre-order in China via JD.com, which also confirmed that it would start shipping on May 12.

Nokia Lumia 630 is set to be released in the country in a variety of color options, including yellow, green, white, and black, as WMPoweruser notes.

Those users who will grab the dual-SIM Lumia 630 will enjoy its dual-standby capabilities, which will enable them to easily switch between the two SIM cards.

Thus, they will be able to better manage their personal and work lives, while also easily keeping track of their calls and messages.

The mobile phone also sports a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 pixels touchscreen display, along with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, Nokia Lumia 630 features 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes (with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space to save music, videos, photos and other files), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS receiver.

The smartphone packs a 5-megapixel camera on the back, capable of recording videos in 720p resolution, but no front camera has been included inside it.

The Windows Phone 8.1 platform loaded on top will offer a nice range of features as well, including ore dynamic magnetic stickers, along with a brand new Notification Center (Action Center).

At the same time, the operating system arrives with the Windows Phone 8.1 Enterprise Suite inside, along with the Microsoft Office mobile office application suite, and OneDrive loaded on it right from the start.

Not to mention that Lumia 630 also sports a series of exclusive Nokia applications, including enhanced camera features, the Nokia MixRadio music service, HERE maps and navigation services that are offered for free, and iQiyi video and Sohu video capabilities.
