With only one week left until the official reveal of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, details on the new lineup of smartphones that will come pre-loaded with the upcoming platform continue to pour in.

We have reported earlier this week that Nokia and Microsoft are expected to announce at least two new smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.1, Lumia 930 and Lumia 630/635.

While the former is a high-tier device, the latter is aimed at the mid-level segment, even though it comes with more than decent features. The spiritual successor of the Lumia 625, the new Lumia 630 will be the first Windows Phone handset to offer dual-SIM support.

According to the latest rumors, there will be two variants of the smartphone launched, depending on the market: Lumia 630 and Lumia 635.

The dual-SIM version is expected to go on sale in emerging markets, such as Indonesia, India, Thailand and China, whereas the single-SIM model will be launched it the rest of the countries.

There is no word on the price yet, but Lumia 630/635 should be one of the most affordable Windows Phone 8.1 devices available on the market.

Even though we expect the smartphone to be officially unveiled next week, it’s nice to know that the information regarding the upcoming release of the Lumia 630 is confirmed by new details leaked online.

Thus, NokiaPowerUser reports that Lumia 630 has just passed certification in Indonesia and Thailand, which means that the smartphone will eventually arrive in these countries.

It appears that customers in Indonesia will only be able to purchase the dual-SIM version of the smartphone, whereas people in Thailand can choose from the single-SIM and dual-SIM models.

No additional details on the smartphone have been disclosed yet, but we have learned from previous rumors that the Lumia 630 will sport a decent 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Hardware-wise, the device should be equipped with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, probably provided by Qualcomm, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Aside from dual-SIM support, Nokia Lumia 630 also packs microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB), as well as an impressive 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. Sadly, the camera seems to lack LED flash.

There’s no telling whether or not it will pack a secondary front-facing camera, but rumor has it that the smartphone will be powered by a 2000 mAh battery.
