The smartphone will arrive on shelves in Asia this week, in Europe and US later

Starting today, Nokia Lumia 630, the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone in the popular Lumia lineup, is available for purchase, Microsoft has officially announced.

The mobile phone, made official in early April during the BUILD conference, is set to reach various markets in Asia this week and will become available for purchase in Europe and the United States soon after.

The mobile phone arrives on the market in two different flavors, one of them featuring support for two SIM cards, with dual-standby capabilities.

According to a post on Nokia Conversations, the single-SIM version of the device is available at €119 ($163) before taxes and subsidies, while the dual-SIM model sports a price tag of €129 ($177).

Both variants will be released in a variety of bold and beautiful colors with changeable shells, such as bright orange, bright green, and bright yellow, in addition to the standard black and white.

Nokia Lumia 630 was announced with a 4.5-inch ClearBlack FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, as well as with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor inside.

The mobile phone also sports 512MB of RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space. On the back, the handset features a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in 720p resolution.

The mobile phone has been launched with an 1830mAh battery, as well as with the entire range of usual connectivity capabilities inside, as well as with the common set of sensors.

The smartphone also features a built-in GPS receiver, so as to offer great navigation capabilities, thanks to the free HERE Maps and HERE Drive+ apps that are available on the smartphone right from the start.

Courtesy of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, the handset will deliver even more appealing features to users, such as Cortana (initially in the USA), Action Center, new Start screen personalization, individual volume controls, Data Sense, WiFi Sense, Storage Sense and many other more.

Additionally, Nokia Lumia 630 also sports a new Microsoft Enterprise feature pack, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Office, and OneDrive, which should provide users with the possibility to easily edit, create and sync their work while on the go.
