Nokia announced back in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade fair that it would launch the first smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.1 on the market beginning May.

The first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone to hit shelves this month is Nokia Lumia 630. The smartphone is now available for pre-order via Amazon Italy for only €150 ($210) outright. No delivery date has been confirmed by Amazon, but we expect the smartphone to go on sale later this month.

We reported earlier this week that Lumia 630 went on pre-order in Italy via NStore, but only the black version of the smartphone was available in stock.

However, Amazon Italy offers customers the option to choose from multiple colors, such as orange, green, yellow, white, and black. In addition, shipping is free for all orders.

Nokia Lumia 630 will be available in two variants: single SIM and dual SIM. Amazon Italy only offers the single-SIM version of Lumia 630, so those looking for the other model will have to wait a bit longer.

The smartphone comes with a more than decent 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, ClearBlack technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

It will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 platform onboard and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor inside.
