Nokia Lumia 630 has just been officially introduced in India and Microsoft has confirmed that the dual-SIM version will go on sale on May 16. The single-SIM variant of the smartphone will be available in India later this month, but let’s see when the Lumia 630 will be available in other countries in the same region.

Well, it looks like Nokia fans in the Philippines will be among the first to be able to grab the affordable smartphone. The folks over at Nokia Revolution report that Microsoft has already sent invitations for a launch event that will take place on May 13.

Although Microsoft is set to officially launch the Nokia Lumia 630 in the Philippines, the smartphone will probably be released on the market as early as next week.

More details on the smartphone’s availability and price tag will probably be available during the launch event, so we will update the article with that information as soon as it becomes available.

Until then, let’s see what potential customers will get when purchasing the Lumia 630. First of all, the smartphone will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box. In addition, the Lumia 630 is the first Windows Phone handset to offer dual-SIM support.

It’s also the first to come with Windows Phone 8.1 preloaded, so you won’t be expecting for an update to receive the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile platform.

Apart from these advantages, Nokia Lumia 630 also comes equipped with a more than decent 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 512MB of RAM.

Even though Windows Phone 8.1 will certainly run smoothly on the Lumia 630, some apps and games will probably not work as intended due to the low amount of RAM.

Nevertheless, given the phone’s price tag, which should be among the lowest for a mid-range smartphone, it’s really worth the trade-off.

Nokia Lumia 630 also comes with only 8GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. On the inside, the smartphone will be powered by a 1830 mAh battery, which is rated for up to 600 hours of standby time or up to 16 hours of talk time (13 hours in 3G mode).

Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning that the phone’s 5-megapixel rear-facing camera does not come with LED flash, and you should also know that Lumia 630 lacks a secondary front-facing camera.
