Next month, the largest soccer competition in the world will kick off in Brazil, and Nokia is already celebrating that, with the launch of a special edition Nokia Lumia 630 in the country.

The new mobile phone will arrive on shelves with a Digital TV (DTV) signal receiver, which will allow users to easily watch every match while on the go.

At the same time, the new device model was announced with dual-SIM capabilities inside, so that even tourists could enjoy its capabilities by keeping their home SIM cards and by adding a SIM card from Brazil inside it as well.

The new flavor of the smartphone will become available for purchase with the same technical specifications as the original, but will add the aforementioned new capabilities for an enhanced experience.

Nokia Lumia 630 with built-in TV will sport a 4.5-inch ClearBlack IPS LCD screen capable of delivering a FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating, while being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset was announced with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, with support for cards of up to 128GB.

The mobile phone version also comes to the market with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, capable of recording videos in 720p resolution, but it does nor feature a front camera for video calling.

“Besides being a supercharged feature for the device, DTV is a requirement of the local government that encourages manufacturers to develop devices such as TV, computers and smartphones with a digital signal receiver,” Nokia Conversations explains in a recent post.

Moreover, the new mobile phone also includes the usual set of connectivity capabilities inside, such as HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as a GPS receiver, so that users could enjoy great navigation capabilities while on the move.

Nokia Lumia 630 dual-SIM arrives on the market with the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system loaded on top right from the start, while also packing a series of exclusive features coming from Microsoft.

“Other features built into the Lumia 630 are the wonderful Nokia Camera app for making your photos look great, our favorite free music-streaming service, Nokia MixRadio, HERE Drive+ and the ability to download offline HERE Maps – perfect for a country as big as Brazil,” said blog post concludes.
