The smartphone should be officially announced later today

Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is expected to make official a new smartphone in its Windows Phone 8-based Lumia lineup, one that should sport the name of Lumia 625, and press photos of the device are now available for your viewing pleasure.

In addition to these images, available courtesy of @evleaks, the full hardware specifications of the device leaked online as well, providing users with the possibility to make a better idea of what Nokia will make official today.

The Lumia 625 should hit shelves with the largest screen in Nokia’s lineup to date, a 4.7-inch display capable of delivering a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution.

The yet unofficial device will sport a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor inside, along with 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

The phone will pack a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage, while also offering 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.

On the back, the smartphone will feature a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, paired with a VGA front camera to enable users to make video calls while on the go.

Lumia 625 measures 133.25 x 72.25 x 9.15 mm and weighs 159 grams, while being powered by a 2000 mAh battery capable of delivering up to 15.2 hours of talk time on 3G networks.

However, the new Windows Phone 8 device will also land on the market with support for 4G LTE networks, so as to provide users with a faster mobile experience.

Other specs of the phone include the usual set of sensors (Accelerometer, Proximity, and Ambient Light), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB2.0 port.

The same as other Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia, the Lumia 625 will be launched with support for the HERE navigation and location services, the specs list that emerged over at puhelinvertailu unveils.

The new device will provide users with a variety of color options, including Orange, Bright Green, Yellow, Black, and White. However, no specific info on the phone’s availability and pricing has been provided as of now.
