Good news for Nokia Lumia 620 owners in India, as the Finnish company has kicked off the rollout of the long-awaited Lumia Black update.

Although some users may have received the update one or two weeks ago, the majority of Lumia 620 have been skipped from the soft launch of Lumia Black.

According to WMPoweruser, the update should now be available for most Nokia Lumia 620 owners who purchased their smartphones from India. Keep in mind that if you own a Lumia 620 that has been brought in India from another country where Lumia Black is not available, you will not receive the update.

At the same time, those who live in other countries but purchased their Lumia 620 devices from India should now check for Lumia Black availability.

Nokia Lumia 620 seems to be the last Windows Phone handset launched by the Finnish company that receives the handset maker’s Lumia Black update. However, India is not the last country that gets the update, there are still some places where Lumia Black has yet to be released.

According to Nokia, not all the features included in the Lumia Black update will be compatible with the Nokia Lumia 620 due to some hardware limitations.

For example, the Lumia Black should bring Lumia 620 users the Nokia Beamer feature, which should allow users to beam not just photos, but also documents, presentations, by simply scanning a QR code on the screen.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available, as Nokia has confirmed that it is limited to those devices with at least 1GB of RAM inside. The same goes for the Nokia Refocus, which is mostly aimed at devices with PureView cameras and at least 1GB of RAM.

However, Nokia Lumia 620 will get the new Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) support, along with the App Folder feature that allows users to group similar apps and settings into one folder, a tile, on Start screen.

The “double tap to wake” feature is available for Nokia Lumia 620 as well, which, as the name suggests, allows users to wake up the phone from sleep mode by double tapping on its screen.

Nokia Glance 2.0 is another major feature included in Lumia Black, which basically helps users keep track of info in real time directly on the phone’s display. All notifications from various popular apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, as well as calendar, email, SMS will show up on your display.

Nokia Lumia 620 owners in India who have yet to be notified of the update can manually check for Lumia Black by going to Settings / Phone Update / Check for Updates.
