UK-based carrier Three has just announced the immediate availability of Nokia Lumia 610 for only 150 GBP (235 USD or 190 EUR) on PAYG (pay as you go).

Customers who cannot afford to pay that amount will be able to grab the Lumia 610 smartphone for free from £15 a month with no upfront cost on the Ultimate Internet 100 plan.

Keep in mind that Nokia Lumia 610 is now available for purchase both online and in all Three brick and mortar stores.

The cheapest Windows Phone device manufactured by Nokia, the Lumia 610 comes with the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5, though the smartphone is powered by a specially tailored operating system due to the low specs.

In this regard, Nokia Lumia 610 is equipped with an 800 MHz single-core processor, which is complemented by an obsolete Adreno 200 graphics processing unit and only 256MB of RAM.

The affordable smartphone provides access to more than 100,000 apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace and brings live information updates on friends, news and apps directly on the home screen.

Given the fact that the Lumia 610 runs the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5, users will be able to take advantage of mobile Wi-Fi hotspot capability in order to share their internet connection.

Software-wise, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with lots of Nokia apps and services, such as Nokia Drive, Nokia Music and Mix Radio.

Nokia Lumia 610 also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There’s also 8GB of internal memory, which cannot be further expanded as the device does not come with microSD card slot. However, new SkyDrive users will receive 7GB of cloud storage for free.

Not only is the Nokia Lumia 610 an affordable and attractive handset, it’s also packed full of fantastic features for photographers which make it a stellar choice for any first time smartphone buyer,” said Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three.
