Recently introduced in the UK, Nokia Lumia 610 has just been confirmed to land in Australia on June 4th. The smartphone will be exclusive to Boost Mobile, an MVNO on Optus’ airwaves.

According to WPDownUnder, the smartphone will be available for purchase for $299 AUD (290 USD or 235 EUR) on prepaid with a $40 AUD (40 USD or 30 EUR) recharge credit and an outright RRP by Nokia of $329 AUD (320 USD or 260 EUR).

Boost Mobile will enjoy a month of exclusivity over the Lumia 610, but then the handset will probably be picked up by other carriers as well.

The smartphone will be shipped with a specially tailored version of Windows Phone operating system optimized to work on devices with only 256MB of RAM.

The phone packs an 800 MHz processor, a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
