Microsoft has recently announced what it hopes to soon become the next best-selling Windows Phone handset, the Nokia Lumia 530. The smartphone has been confirmed to arrive on the market as early as next month, but exact availability will be announced per country and carrier.

Until then, in one of the first video advertisements for the Lumia 530, Microsoft highlights some of the new features included in Windows Phone 8.1.

Unlike its predecessor, Nokia Lumia 520, the upcoming Lumia 530 will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, and rumor has it that it may also be packed with the GDR1 update, which is supposed to arrive on current smartphones next week.

Nokia Lumia 530 sports a 4-inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen display and packs a more than decent 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.

The smartphone comes with a 5-megapxiel rear-facing camera, which lacks LED flash, as well as 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via the microSD card slot.

“The Nokia Lumia 530 has all the great new features of Windows Phone 8.1, including Action Center. Just open with one swipe and your notifications, alerts and quick settings are all in one place,” says the video ad’s description. Do you plan on picking this one up when it goes on sale?
