Nokia Lumia 530, the latest Windows Phone 8.1-based smartphone coming from Microsoft Mobile, is now available for pre-order in the Netherlands too.

The handset was made available for reservations in Vietnam on August 1, and has also arrived in China since then, but it seems that users in Europe will also be able to grab it sooner rather than later.

At the moment, the mobile phone can be seen in the Netherlands on the website of online retailer belsimpel.nl with a price tag of only €102 ($136.5) attached to it, contract-free.

The retailer says that pre-orders will ship to users in about five weeks but, as nokiapoweruser notes, changes are that we’ll see it arriving on shelves sometime at the end of August.

Nokia Lumia 530 was made official in July as the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia to date, set to storm the entry-level market, the same way that Nokia Lumia 520 did last year.

The handset features a 4-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 480 x 854 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 302 graphics.

Moreover, it arrives on shelves with 512MB of RAM, as well as with 4GB of internal memory, though it does allow users to add up to 128GB of external storage to it.

On the back, the new handset features a 5-megapixel camera with a 1/4'' sensor size, with video recording capabilities. However, no front camera for making video calls was included in the package.

The specifications list of this mobile phone also includes support for 3G networks (HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), along with the usual set of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB v2.0, and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.

It also arrives on shelves with a built-in GPS receiver (with A-GPS and GLONASS), as well as with an accelerometer sensor.

Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1430mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of talk time, or up to 528 hours of standby time.

The main selling point of this device, however, remains the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system loaded on top of it, which includes a nice set of enhancements over the previous platform iterations.

Thus, it will provide users with capabilities such as Action Center, Wi-Fi Sense, Start Screen Backgrounds, Internet Explorer 11, World Flow for faster typing, and more. Those who will change their location and language settings to the US and English will also enjoy Cortana, the digital personal assistant.
