Nokia Lumia 530, the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1-based Lumia handset to date, is now available for pre-order in Russia too, where it should become available for purchase starting August 22.

The mobile phone has arrived in the country on the official N-Store, which lists it at around 4,990 Rubles ($138/€103).

The handset was made official on July 23 and has already been put up on pre-order on various markets out there, expected to enjoy worldwide availability before the end of this month.

Lumia 530 was announced in both single- and dual-SIM versions and, as WPCenteral notes, the latter is now up for reservations in Russia.

As mentioned above, those who will pre-order the phone will receive it starting August 22. Today, however, they can opt for one of the three color versions put up for reservations, including black, white, and orange.

Given that Lumia 530 is the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1-based Lumia device, it comes with entry-level hardware specifications, though it is expected to deliver a pretty decent experience to all those who will grab it.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a 4-inch LCD touchscreen display that boasts an FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution, and it is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.

Moreover, the new handset was made official with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, though it also features a microSD memory card slot, which will allow users to add up to 128GB of additional storage space to it.

On the back, the phone sports a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording videos. Unfortunately, it was not designed with a front camera as well.

Lumia 530 arrives on shelves with support for 3G networks, while also offering the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, along with a built-in GPS receiver.

It also sports dual-SIM capabilities, accelerometer, and a 1430mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of talk time on 3G networks, or up to 528 hours of standby time.

The hardware specs of this device might not be that impressive, but it will still provide users with an appealing Windows Phone 8.1 experience, that’s for sure, mainly due to the fact that the OS was built to work great on entry-level phones.

It will offer features such as Action Center, Start Screen backgrounds, Word Flow, Internet Explorer 11, and many others. Unfortunately, users in Russia won’t get a taste of Cortana, the digital personal assistant, unless they change the phone’s location and language settings to the US and English, respectively.
