Starting today, mobile phone users in Vietnam can buy the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia smartphone to date, in the form of Nokia Lumia 530.

The mobile phone was officially announced only several weeks ago, when Microsoft said that it would start arriving on shelves in August, and it seems that it has already become available for purchase.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves in this country with dual-SIM capabilities inside, while featuring a price tag of only 2,340,000 VND ($110/€82).

Users in Vietnam should also know that the mobile phone was announced for this country in four color flavors, namely Grey, Green, Orange, and White.

Moreover, as WPCentral notes, Microsoft also kicked off a Lumia VIP program in Vietnam, meant to provide owners of Lumia devices with exclusive deals and discounts at participating vendors.

The program will kick off on August 3 and will include promotions from over 500 brands, among which Pizza Hut, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Diesel, and many others.

For the time being, the Lumia VP program is said to be available exclusively in Vietnam, though chances are that Microsoft will expand it to other markets out there as well in the not-too-distant future.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia Lumia 530 was made official with a 4-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering an FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, the mobile phone arrives on the market with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, which has been paired with 512MB of RAM.

The handset includes 4GB of internal memory, while also allowing users to add up to 128GB of external storage to it, courtesy of an included microSD memory card slot. Additionally, it comes with 15GB of free OneDrive storage.

On the back, the new mobile phone features a 5-megapixel camera with fixed focus, which is accompanied by a series of camera add-ons, among which Bing vision, Nokia Camera, and Nokia Glam Me.

Lumia 530 arrives on shelves with the usual connectivity capabilities inside, though no 4G LTE capabilities will be found inside it.

Moreover, it will provide users with all of the features and enhancements that the Windows Phone 8.1 has been released with, including Action Center, Word Flow, Start Screen backgrounds, Internet Explorer 11, and the like.

Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1430mAh battery that can deliver up to 10.8 hours of talk time on 3G networks, or up to 16 days of standby time. Users in Vietnam can already see the phone listed on Nokia’s local website.
