Windows Phone fans in Romania rejoice, as Microsoft has just announced that the Nokia Lumia 530 should be available for purchase in the country beginning today.

Unfortunately, the official statement we received today does not contain any details on price tag, or any info on where exactly the Lumia 530 will be available for purchase.

For the time being, major carriers Vodafone and Orange have yet to announce the phone’s availability, so stay tuned for more on this one as we get further info on pricing options.

The good news is that both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions of Nokia Lumia 530 should be available for purchase in Romania beginning this week.

Apart from being available through carriers, Nokia Lumia 530 is likely to go on sale at various authorized retailers across the country. We’ll update with pricing options once the smartphone gets listed.

We doubt the dual-SIM Lumia 530 will be available through Romanian carriers, so those looking for this particular model will have to look for it at other online retailers. On the other hand, the single-SIM Lumia 530 will probably be available for free on select plans.

Both smartphones will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, but aside from that everything points to a budget-friendly handset.

Windows Phone users who already own the Lumia 520 don’t have too many reasons to switch to the Lumia 530 unless they can’t wait for the Windows Phone 8.1 update anymore.

Apart from that, there is little to no difference between the two smartphones. Nokia Lumia 530 sports a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 245ppi (pixel per inch).

Hardware-wise, the Lumia 530 is equipped with a decent 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and only 512MB of RAM.

Although the smartphone packs only 4GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the back, the budget-friendly handset features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with 480p video recording, but lacking LED flash and autofocus. It is also worth mentioning that Lumia 530 does not come with a secondary camera in the front.

However, owners will be able to enjoy fast Internet browsing thanks to HSDPA (21Mbps) and Wi-Fi support. Other highlights of the phone include: 1430 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, FM Radio and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.

In the same piece of news, Nokia Lumia 530 has already been released in a few countries where it’s now available for purchase for around €100 ($132), so the price in Romania should be in the same range.

Update: We have just been informed by Microsoft that Nokia Lumia 530 should cost around €85 ($113) outright.
