Yet another Windows Phone 8.1-based smartphone is set to become available for purchase in India in the not-too-distant future, none other than the Nokia Lumia 530, which is now available for reservations in the country, with dual-SIM capabilities inside.

The handset was made official last month as the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1-based Nokia handset to date, and it is now up for pre-order in the country via Snapdeal.

The online retailer is currently listing the smartphone on its website as set to arrive in the third week of August in three color flavors, namely Grey, Orange, and White. The Green flavor of the handset is not available as of now, but could arrive in the not-too-distant future too.

No info on the handset’s price tag has been provided as of now, but we might see it made available at around Rs. 8,000 (€100/$135), which is the cost that Microsoft unveiled for it in July.

The Lumia 530 was made official with a compact form factor, packing a 4-inch touchscreen display that can provide an FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

Despite its small size, the phone can still provide users with appealing performance capabilities, courtesy of a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, which is paired with 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset sports 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, allowing users to add up to 128GB of external storage to it.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with a 1/4 inch sensor, yet it does not include flash or a front camera for video calling. Connectivity-wise, Lumia 530 features support for 3G networks, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver.

As mentioned above, the handset runs under the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, which means that it will also provide users with all of the apps, features and capabilities that this mobile operating system version has to offer.

“Nokia Lumia 530 the latest Dual SIM budget phone from the Nokia family comes packed with the Windows Phone 8.1 OS and proposes a great deal of fresh features that includes PDF, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, HERE Drive+ and Bing Maps,” the online retailer notes on its website.

“With the Raksha Bandhan season just around the corner, Nokia Lumia 530 surely makes it to the gifting list, brothers go right ahead and show your love, gift one to your sisters!”

Microsoft has yet to officially announce the availability of Nokia Lumia 530 in India, both single- and dual-SIM variants. Stay tuned to learn more on this.
