The cheapest Windows Phone handset that’s supposed to come with the latest version of the operating system out of the box, Nokia Lumia 530, is now available for purchase in the UK.

Even though the Lumia 530 has been tipped to arrive in the UK on September 4 for £60 (€75 / $100), it looks like at least one major retailer is now taking orders for the affordable smartphone.

However, as always, potential customers who can’t wait until September 4 to get the Nokia Lumia 530 for the outright price will have to pay more to own it earlier.

Clove UK seems to be one of the first authorized retailers that offer the Nokia Lumia 530, and those who want it must pay no less than £99 (€124 / $164) upfront.

Obviously, that’s the price you have to pay to own it earlier than others, but there’s a catch. Even if you pay more, you will still have to wait until later August to receive it.

According to Clove, Nokia Lumia 530 will arrive in stock on August 26, which means that orders will probably ship around the same day.

The smartphone is now available in different color options, such as Green, Orange and Grey/Black combination, so if you’re looking for another flavor, like white perhaps, you will have to wait for the official release.

Other UK-based retailers may start taking orders for the Nokia Lumia 530, hopefully for a lower price, but we can’t confirm it yet.

Those who already own the best-selling Windows Phone handset, the Nokia Lumia 520 shouldn’t look to upgrade to Lumia 530, as there are little to no advantages that would justify the investment.

Nokia Lumia 530 comes with a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution and packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.

The phone’s CPU is complemented by an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and only 512MB of RAM. Even though the Lumia 520 packs 8GB of internal memory, the newer model comes with only 4GB of storage.

Luckily, Microsoft added microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB), so Lumia 530 owner shouldn’t have any issue with storage as long as they acquire a memory card.

Other highlights of the Lumia 530 include a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 480p video recording, but no flash, HSDPA (21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, as well as 1430mAh battery.
