Nokia has just confirmed that its latest Windows Phone handset, the Lumia 525, is now available for purchase in Singapore for $200 (€145) outright.

As WPCentral points out, the Finnish company has officially announced the availability of the budget-friendly smartphone on its Facebook page.

It appears that Lumia 525 is available in several color options such as glossy orange, white, matte black and yellow. Customers can pick this one up from any Nokia Store in Singapore.

According to Nokia, Singapore will be the first country to get the Lumia 525, but other regions will receive it in the coming weeks as well.

Nokia fans in China will be happy to know that the smartphone will be available in their country as well, but it will sell as Lumia 526.

Aside from the enhanced hardware configuration, Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 525 are similar. They both come with exchangeable covers in the sale package, as well as the same version of Windows Phone platform.

The only difference between the two smartphones is the fact that the new Lumia 525 packs 1GB of RAM, while the Lumia 520 comes with only 512MB of RAM.

This means that those who purchase the Lumia 525 will be able to run more applications and services than the Lumia 520 due to more RAM available.

Other highlights of the Lumia 525 include: 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with scratch-resistant glass, 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 64GB), 1GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 305 graphics processing unit.

Connectivity-wise, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, as well as HSDPA (21Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps). GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS is included as well.

Nokia Lumia 525 is powered by a 1430 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 336 hours of standby time or up to 17 hours of talk time (11 hours in 3G mode).
