Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a Nokia Lumia 521 smartphone will be able to grab it at only $59.99 (€43.63) via Target next week.

The best part of the deal, however, is the fact that users can get the handset at this cost without signing a two-year contract agreement with T-Mobile, as WPCentral notes.

The promotion will kick off on Sunday, December 15, and will last until Saturday, December 21. Apparently, the deal will be available for all users who make the purchase through Target stores in the United States, though it’s yet uncertain whether it will apply to online purchases as well.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone comes to the market with a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixel IPS screen, and with a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside. It also features 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD memory card slot.
