14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled last week at the Mobile World Congress 2013, in Barcelona, Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 have just been spotted in Germany along with their price tags.
As WMPoweruser points out, Germany retailer Cyberport now accepts pre-orders for both smartphones, so Windows Phone 8 fans can now reserve their devices for a certain amount.
One of the cheapest Windows Phone 8 handset manufactured by Nokia, the Lumia 520 can be pre-ordered for only €200/$260 here.
The latest addition to the Lumia series, Nokia Lumia 720 is up for pre-order as well and Cyberport asks no less than €380/$495 for this Windows Phone 8 handset. Check it out here.
Both smartphones are powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform and there are lots of other hardware similarities between the Lumia 520 and 720, but there are a few exceptions such as camera, display and battery.
Obviously, they are different when it comes to size, but there are only a few changes when it comes to design.
Both Lumia phones are equipped with 1GHz dual-core processors, Adreno 305 GPUs, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).
However, the Lumia 520 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and HD (720p) video recording, whereas Nokia Lumia 720 features a much better 6.7-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.
It is also worth mentioning that the Lumia 520 has a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and features scratch-resistant glass coating.
On the other hand, the Lumia 720 packs a slightly larger 4.3-inch IPS LCD ClearBlack display that supports a similar resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
Another difference between the two handsets is the battery. Nokia Lumia 520 is powered by a 1430 mAh Li-Ion battery, whereas the Lumia 720 drains energy from a high-capacity 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
