On Thursday, wireless carrier AT&T has started to roll out a new software update for the owners of Nokia Lumia 520 smartphone on its network, not other than the long-awaited Nokia Black firmware upgrade.

The new software will bump the operating system version of these devices up to version 10521, as it brings along the new Windows Phone 8 GDR3 platform release.

A nice range of enhancements has been included in the build, such as various optimizations, support for Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and various camera improvements. Moreover, users will enjoy a Driver Mode following the update, along with the possibility to close apps from the task switcher, as WPCentral notes.

A notification will pop up on the phone’s screen when the update is available, though you will also be able to check for it by going to Settings > Phone Update > Check for updates. Make sure you connect to a Wi-Fi network when kicking off the download process.
