Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made its latest Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone available for purchase in the Philippines, only weeks after its official unveiling.

The handset was released as a budget-friendly smartphone, though with limited hardware capabilities, which will make it suitable only for an upgrade to Windows Phone 7.8.

According to the latest reports on the matter, the Lumia 510 is available for purchase in the country at PHP 7290 (around $180 / 140 Euro).

For those out of the loop, we should note that the device was launched with a single-core processor packed inside, 256MB of RAM and a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixel display.

The phone also comes with a 1300mAh battery and with Windows Phone 7.5 apps from Nokia loaded on it (though it could taste Windows Phone 7.8 in a matter of days).
