Following its official release in Mexico on the airwaves of Telcel, Nokia’s Lumia 505 smartphone should hit shelves in three countries in Latin America soon, including Colombia, Chile and Peru.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.8 operating system, the mobile phone arrives on shelves with 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 256MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and a 1300 mAh battery inside.

According to wpcentral, Nokia's Lumia 505 will land on shelves at wireless carrier Claro in said countries, and might prove a good option for users there.

“At Nokia we have a strong commitment to bring Windows Phone to new items at affordable prices and in different devices for everyone. With the Nokia Lumia 505, we intend to continue to welcome more people to experience the incredible experience that Windows Phone offers its users,” Manuel Gonzalez, director of Communications at Nokia for Latin America, reportedly said.
