14 DAY TRIAL // Nokia enthusiasts out there will certainly remember the Nokia 3310, one of the most popular phones that the Finnish vendor has launched back when touchscreens were only an aspiration in the mobile industry.
Inspired by this handset, designer Bob Freking has decided to come up with a Nokia concept phone that sports all the features and capabilities that one would like to see inside a smartphone today.
Dubbed Nokia Lumia 3310, as concept-phones notes, the smartphone runs under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system.
The concept device looks nothing like the old Nokia handset, but its name might bring back some memories, that’s for sure.
According to the designer, the handset is powered by the brand new Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, and also sports 4G LTE connectivity inside.
Moreover, the concept smartphone features the popular gray color, with a blue hue, and is said to arrive with an updated version of the popular Snake game.
Bob Freking also imagined the new device with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 23-megapixel PureView camera on the back.
The Nokia Lumia 3310 concept phone can offer rich recording capabilities packed inside a thin, yet durable body.
In fact, the designer notes that this smartphone features a self-healing back cover, the same as LG’s newly launched G Flex smartphone does. Wireless charging and NFC capabilities were also included in this concept phone.
Provided that Nokia actually decided to release such a smartphone, we might also see it packing all the usual connectivity capabilities and sensors, along with a minimum of 32GB internal memory, and microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.
For the time being, however, this is only a concept phone, and we’ll have to look at it as such. However, enthusiasts will certainly start hoping that Nokia is considering the launch of a similar smartphone.
