The long-awaited and much-hyped Nokia tablet has finally been rolled out. Today at the Abu Dhabi media event, the Finnish giant pulled the curtain off the Nokia Lumia 2520.

As expected, the tablet is going to become available in four attractive colors: zingy red, cyan, white and black, with the possibility of attaching the wrap-around Nokia Power Keyboard as well. The accessory will provide an additional 5 hours of battery life.

The new slates will be running Windows RT 8.1 out of the box. It’s a 10-inch device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip clocked at 2.2GHz hidden under the helm. There are two cameras onboard, a 6.7-megapixel rear one with ZEISS optics plus a 2-megapixel wide-angle front snapper. The slate offers 4G LTE and Wi-Fi.

Nokia has also packed some extra goodies with its first Windows tablet. The slate will ship with some amazing apps like Dragons Adventure, a game created in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation, which draws inspiration from the “How to Train Your Dragon” series.

Another surprise is Nokia Storyteller, an interactive app that allows the viewing of images and videos in a form of a story stretched out on a map. Last but not least, users will find an exclusive version of Nokia Music with Mix Radio pre-installed on board.

Nokia said that the device would probably be ready to ship out by Q4 of 2013. The initial roll-out will include countries like the US, UK and Finland. The estimated price has been set to $499 / €365.
