Nokia has launched its first tablet endeavor, the Lumia 2520 not so long ago. The company then proceeded to roll out the slate onto several markets, but as it turns out with many new devices, the Lumia appears to have a bug.

Some users are complaining on the official Nokia forums they are experiencing an screen freezing issue that appears when the tablet is in sleep mode, causing it to become unavailable for use. The only fix encountered so far is to perform a hard reset. At the moment, we know that the AT&T and Verizon models are plagued by the bug.

User markawashington resumes the problem, saying that “he bought the tablet day one from Verizon store and absolutely love it ! My tablet has frozen up quiet a few times and more than often when it goes to sleep the power button will not turn the tablet back on!”

“Something is wrong because the Windows Home button vibrates when I press it . I have to resort to long pressing the home and power button for a hard reset . Very frustrating to say the least yet I am thankful that Windows boots up very rapidly but I hate having to log back in.”

"I have only had it for 4 days now and I count even count how many times this has happen .... as if it part of the tablets functioning.”

Some users on the forum speculate that the issue might have something to do with malfunctioning display drivers. The solution adopted by some customers involves pressing the home and power button for up to ten seconds, in order to reset the slate.

At the moment, it is not known if Nokia is working on an official fix for the problem. However, user drahth56 claims he went to the Verizon store and representatives there told him they were aware of the software bug and were trying to resolve it. We’ll keep you updated.
