Yesterday we brought you news that Verizon was expected to officially announce the Nokia Lumia 2520 on Wednesday.

It looks like the carrier was in a bit of a rush to push the slate out into the world, so the veil has been lifted.

“When thinking about the ‘PC experience’, desktops and laptops are what usually come to mind. But the Lumia 2520 comes with Windows RT 8.1, so it combines the functionality of a PC – such as having Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student and Outlook RT – with the mobility of a tablet,” says the official statement.

“The device also features 4G LTE connectivity, which is available in more than 500 markets, so users can spend less time looking for Wi-Fi and more time getting stuff done whether in the classroom, while traveling or playing around with the latest apps.”

Customers will be able to grab Nokia’s first Windows RT tablet starting November 21. The slate will show up online and in selected stores locations with a price tag of $499.99 / €370.

Verizon is awarding the tablet for $399.99 / €296 with a two-year contract, for a limited amount to time. Shoppers can also add the Nokia slate to their Share Everything account for $10 / €7 per month.

The carrier claims that the slate is perfect for working and playing. For example, college students starting a new semester can enjoy the benefits Microsoft Office will bring to their studying routine.

When it’s time to take a break, users can have access to Xbox Live for games, movies, music and other media. As for apps, there are more than 112,000 to purchase or download for free from the Windows App Store, so you'll never get bored with the tablet.

Those looking to purchase the red model of the LTE-capable Lumia tablet will be able to do so only online, as in brick and mortar stores you’ll find only the black version.
