Microsoft has already confirmed that the Lumia 1520 will be re-released at AT&T this summer, but customers will be offered the green version that will come with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box.

The information was shared by Microsoft’s officials during BUILD 2014 developer conference back in early April. However, no exact release date has been given for the launch of the improved version of Nokia Lumia 1520 at AT&T.

Well, it appears that WPCentral has more info to share with Windows Phone fans, and especially with those who prefer to get their smartphones through AT&T’s official retail channels.

It looks like there won’t be too long until AT&T and Microsoft will bring the enhanced version of Lumia 1520 on the market. The green Lumia 1520 is said to arrive at the US-based carrier in late June or July.

The phablet is likely to make its second debut at AT&T in about a month or so and here is what Microsoft and Nokia added to make it more appealing to Windows Phone enthusiasts.

First of all, as we have mentioned before, it will come with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box. It’s unclear if it will pack either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, but given the fact that it comes with microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB), that really shouldn’t matter at all.

Keep in mind that Windows Phone 8.1 enables users to install applications and games on their phones’ SD cards, which is something that current Windows Phone 8 are not allowed to do.

While there’s no word on the price tag, we believe that the green Lumia 1520 that comes with Windows Phone 8.1 onboard shouldn’t be more expensive than the standard version when it was launched last year.

Next in line, Nokia Lumia 635 is also expected to arrive at AT&T, as the carrier plans to cover as many price points as possible with its Windows Phone handsets.

According to the cited source, the Lumia 635 should make its debut at AT&T on July 16 or 17. The phone is said to be priced at $99 (€73), but it's unclear whether it requires commitment to a long-term contract or not.

Obviously, these dates and prices are subject to change, so take it with a small grain of salt until more details leak online. Many more Windows Phone 8.1 handsets will arrive in the United States in the next couple of weeks, so don’t go for the first one going on sale yet.
