Microsoft's announcement of Windows Phone 8 Update 3 paves the way to a new breed of smartphones and tablets. The next-generation devices powered by Microsoft's mobile operating system will be packed with much larger screens and better processors.

Among these, Nokia Lumia 1520 is one of the first to make its way to the market. This is the first phablet to be released by the Finnish company and is expected to go official on October 22 at Nokia World 2013.

The smartphone's specs have just popped up via evleaks and confirm some features we already knew: 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with PureView technology.

Nokia Lumia 1520 will also feature 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. It will be available in black, yellow and white colors and will offer wireless charging.
